Who is the sanest person you know?

Posted on Oct 5th, 2008 by Ruthie : Excited Learner Ruthie
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for October 05, 2008:

The only sane people I know are the ones I actually don't know that well. Everyone has a bit of insanity within them that makes them who they are. We all try to hid it because we think it is weird and different, but when in reality, that piece of insanity is so beautiful. It can make us passionate about something or make us watch out for certain situations. It is only when you truly know someone that you know what makes a little insane, but doesn't that make you just love them more?

Do you think more about the past or the future?

Posted on Sep 5th, 2008 by Ruthie : Excited Learner Ruthie
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 05, 2008:

The past makes me who I am. Every choice I have made, every experience I have survived, every mistake I have learned from all are so important to the person I am today that I think about the past all of the time.

But what about the person I want to become? The person that will change the world? The future is always on my mind, interweaving with the past. What have I done that is something I need to continue? What people have I come in contact with that can guide and help me in the projects I am trying to accomplish?

The present moment is a gift. The only time that the past and future come so close in contact. I treasure the time I have and live in the present because I can not forget about my past, and I can never stop thinking about my future.

For how long have you been living in your current home?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 01, 2008:

This is my second day living in my new home. The college life is just starting for me and i am excited for the next four years that I will be living here. Getting lost every time I leave my room and having to find a new set of people that share my values has been an adventure. Wish me luck!

How do you feel about strangers?

Posted on Aug 29th, 2008 by Ruthie : Excited Learner Ruthie
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for August 29, 2008:

Most conversations that i have with strangers are the ones where I am the most honest. Since they know nothing about me I am able to be who I am in that moment instead of having to be the person I was yesterday or the week before.

There have been so many conversations I have had in waiting rooms or in air ports with people who were strangers that have had a big impact on my world view. But do they remember the conversation or even meeting me? That is something I ponder a lot. Or are there people I have met once and I don't remember but I have had an impact on their life? I hope I have been a stranger that has been able to make a difference for someone.
